Fall Hosting Essentials from Amazon

When I think of fall, I imagine gatherings of people, in homes with candles lit and warm food to share. In order to do that, you’ll need some essentials. Here are our fall hosting essentials from Amazon.

I love hosting people at our house. But over time, I’ve realized I don’t always have the right tools. Over time, I’ve realized there are things I’m missing from my kitchen supplies and therefore, I make note to fill in those gaps. Below are some fall hosting essentials from Amazon.

Dutch Oven

Having a dutch oven is such an important fall/winter staple in our home. It’s perfect for bread baking or for making soup, stew, or chili. I’m loving the look of this round white one. Having a good sized, cast iron pot like this makes hosting a breeze. And it’s cute, too!

Ladle

A good ladle is essential to soup making. How else are you going to get the soup into the bowls?? I could give you a list of a few different methods that come to mind, but a ladle would probably be the easiest method here. 😉 I also love that this one has a little hook on the end, so it doesn’t fall in.

Marble Serving Board

My serving boards are probably the most used hosting utensils that I own. I almost always pull together a quick little charcuterie board to have out when guests arrive. I’ve found that people love to gather around the island and snack while they wait for others to arrive or for dinner to be ready.

Charcuterie also can be the main thing. If you are having a get together separate from a meal time, this is the perfect thing to have out. And let me tell you, the people love it!

Cheese Knives

One of the keys to a cheese board or charcuterie board is having fun cheeses. And you can’t have fun cheeses without a cute set of cheese knives.

Cute Dish Towels

I love having some cute dish towels to have out when guests come. Clear the sink and counters and have some cute dish towels hanging on the stove and you’re good to go! I found these dish towels and loved them, since they feel fall-ish, but also are neutral and cute. They look very organic to me, which I love.

Wooden Serving Utensils

Serving utensils are a must when it comes to hosting. You want to make sure you have something to serve each thing with. It sounds kind of silly, but honestly, I feel like this is one of those things you don’t realize you need until you’re in the thick of hosting and don’t have what you need. These are practical and cute (love that)!

Cute Matches

I’m obsessed with the idea of collecting pretty essentials, so I don’t feel the need to decorate so much. When my everyday essentials are not the prettiest to look at, I feel the need to hide them and decorate with non-practical items. The more I’ve thought about this, the more silly that seems to me.

Why not make the items that I have to have anyway (toothbrush, dish soap, towels, plates, and etc…) pretty, so I need less stuff in order to feel like I have a pretty home. Those are just some of my recent thoughts and findings. So with all of that said, I give you these super cute matches! Why have a red box of matches that you feel the need to hide away, when you can have these cuties that look great out on the counter.

Salad Tongs

It’s things like salad tongs that I never have. But wish I do when I am serving salad to my family or my guests. These tongs are cute and practical! Love that.

Dish Rags

This is a friendly nudge to toss (or recycle) those grimy dish cloths you’ve had for 5+ years. You deserve some cute, nice looking rags. Why is it that purchases sometimes feels like a splurge? At least they do for me. I’ve recently invested in some stain-less dish rags and I’m so happy I did!

“Please leave by 9” Sign

This one is funny, but also true. For me, at least. I think all of my friends feel similarly and would leave before 9 without being asked (not that I would ever actually ask), so I guess I don’t need this sign. But anyway, just had to throw a little humor into it. 🙂

I was trying to post this with original audio of m I was trying to post this with original audio of me explaining each item and my thoughts on the price etc etc but apparently I don’t have that capability yet on IG… so, enjoy this reel and just know that I had a lot more to say. 😂

I feel like my house is just constantly a mess, no matter how hard I try. Anyone else? It feels like I’m always behind, and to be honest, it bothers me a lot. It overwhelms me and stresses me out. It keeps me from being content and present. Between things constantly being broken (hello middle child) and just too much stuff in general.
Here’s what I’m working on to simplify and calm the chaos.
1. I’ve been removing all toys that don’t get played with often. We currently have magnatiles, Duplos, and race cars out. The rest have been moved to storage in the basement for the moment. We’ll see what we keep as my kids do sometimes notice toys they’re missing and ask for them.
2. I’ve been ruthlessly getting rid of stuff - whether donate or trash. If we don’t absolutely love it, or we have multiples, or no one touches it, or we have a huge pile of random papers and crafts. Gone. 😂 it’s so relieving.
3. I often have artwork and decor laying around because I don’t fully know where it’s going yet. I’ve been removing anything that doesn’t serve a purpose and have been putting it in basement storage. No point having it sit there and clutter. I’ll go get it when I’m ready to hang the picture or use the decor.
4. I’ve been re-assessing where we need more storage. I replaced a dresser that didn’t functional well with a $50 homeschool cabinet from FB marketplace and it’s been so much better.
5. As I remove things from our every day view, I’m noticing the ability to better enjoy the everyday messes and real life, because it isn’t so out of control and overwhelming.

I hope this is encouraging for mamas in the same boat ✨

We spent a lot of time in our front yard, but never really on our porch. I bought this porch paint months ago and finally got it done! Now our porch is a cozy place to sit ✨ Inspired by @mustardseedbeginnings super cute porch.
These frames have been sitting empty for a while n These frames have been sitting empty for a while now… I went to order some prints for them the other day, and I didn’t like the price. SO I decided I was going to make my own art for them. I found a fabric remnant at a local thrift store for $0.99 cents and voila. Took all of 5 mins ✨
