Alleigh Follett – Blogger & Designer
Hi, I’m Alleigh! I started Hand Gathered Home in 2018, as a blog with the intention of sharing my own home projects with my followers. We now offer virtual design services as well, to help you make your home a place that you love.
I’ve always loved design. As a little girl, I spent my free time watching HGTV and re-arranging my bedroom furniture (and occasionally the living room furniture too… I’m convinced my mom is a saint). So pursuing a career in the Interior Design world was no question for me. Once I had kids, I knew that it had to be something I could shape around my life, and not the other way around, and that’s how Hand Gathered Home was born.
I love to mix new and old. My absolute dream home would be a 100 year old farmhouse on 20 acres, where we have room for goats, chickens and a big garden, where my kids have space to run and play.
Lauren Mellema – Designer
Lauren has many years of experience working with her own spaces, as well as rooms for family and friends. She has a distinctive eye for color, has a love for pattern and texture and above all loves to prioritize family touches to make every room feel unique to each client. Lauren loves to help busy families achieve highly sophisticated, practical and comfortable rooms throughout their home to best reflect their unique personalities and achievements.
Lauren has 5 kids and a supportive husband. Her dream home is a 2-story, Scandinavian, modern farmhouse style home on acreage. She would best describe her style as mix between traditional and coastal.
