This simple bathroom remodel is the first real, finished project in our new house. It feels so good to have one room looking put together. Follow along to see our progress!

This simple bathroom remodel was a really simple (have I mentioned it was simple?) way to upgrade our main floor bath without a big budget or spending a lot of time.

Before – Simple Bathroom Remodel Ideas on a Budget

Thanks for checking out our budget friendly farmhouse bathroom makeover. While this isn’t a true before photo, it’s definitely before the majority of the progress that was made in this space. For some reason I can’t find a true “before” photo, but really it’s this photo plus a builder grade pedestal sink. Nothing fancy… It was quite boring, actually. It needed some major character.

After – Simple Bathroom Remodel Ideas on a Budget

The “after” of this space feels like a drastic difference to me, but it really didn’t cost me much and it really didn’t take much time. I got this vanity cabinet and vintage sink from our local Habitat for Humanity ReStore in order to create my own vanity. I ordered this faucet to complete this project. There were definitely moments where I was unsure of how this vanity would look all put together, but I’m super happy with how it turned out.

Lighting

New lighting can change a space drastically without a ton of time or effort. We replaced our builder grade light with this modern farmhouse style light and we’re really happy with it. It instantly updated the space. You can see a round up of some of my favorite Affordable and Stylish Lighting from Amazon here.

It’s all in the Details

Details are so important. It’s sometimes the little things that add the most character and charm. This accordion rack is a perfect example of that. It adds some excitement while still feeling rather minimal. Whether it’s functional or not, it doesn’t really matter. Sometimes I use them in a space for coats and purses, and other times I use them like this. Not for function, but really just to add some cuteness to a space by hanging a few pretty items on it.

Fixtures

While this isn’t a big thing, we replaced the toilet paper holder with something that matched the faucet. I was looking for something black and more modern and I found exactly that for about $10. You can find that here. The light fixture can be found here.

Thanks so much for following along! You’ll notice in this post that it really doesn’t have to be hard or expensive to give your bathroom a little remodel. With this project, we basically used paint, a few thrifted finds combined with a few things we already had and there you have it. I hope this shows you how attainable it is to upgrade your space with limited time and money. As always, pin for later below. Thanks for checking out our Budget Friendly Farmhouse Bathroom Makeover.

I was trying to post this with original audio of m I was trying to post this with original audio of me explaining each item and my thoughts on the price etc etc but apparently I don’t have that capability yet on IG… so, enjoy this reel and just know that I had a lot more to say. 😂

I feel like my house is just constantly a mess, no matter how hard I try. Anyone else? It feels like I’m always behind, and to be honest, it bothers me a lot. It overwhelms me and stresses me out. It keeps me from being content and present. Between things constantly being broken (hello middle child) and just too much stuff in general.
Here’s what I’m working on to simplify and calm the chaos.
1. I’ve been removing all toys that don’t get played with often. We currently have magnatiles, Duplos, and race cars out. The rest have been moved to storage in the basement for the moment. We’ll see what we keep as my kids do sometimes notice toys they’re missing and ask for them.
2. I’ve been ruthlessly getting rid of stuff - whether donate or trash. If we don’t absolutely love it, or we have multiples, or no one touches it, or we have a huge pile of random papers and crafts. Gone. 😂 it’s so relieving.
3. I often have artwork and decor laying around because I don’t fully know where it’s going yet. I’ve been removing anything that doesn’t serve a purpose and have been putting it in basement storage. No point having it sit there and clutter. I’ll go get it when I’m ready to hang the picture or use the decor.
4. I’ve been re-assessing where we need more storage. I replaced a dresser that didn’t functional well with a $50 homeschool cabinet from FB marketplace and it’s been so much better.
5. As I remove things from our every day view, I’m noticing the ability to better enjoy the everyday messes and real life, because it isn’t so out of control and overwhelming.

I hope this is encouraging for mamas in the same boat ✨

We spent a lot of time in our front yard, but never really on our porch. I bought this porch paint months ago and finally got it done! Now our porch is a cozy place to sit ✨ Inspired by @mustardseedbeginnings super cute porch.
These frames have been sitting empty for a while n These frames have been sitting empty for a while now… I went to order some prints for them the other day, and I didn’t like the price. SO I decided I was going to make my own art for them. I found a fabric remnant at a local thrift store for $0.99 cents and voila. Took all of 5 mins ✨
