Sometimes it’s fun to change things up, especially around Christmas. Follow along to see my very simple Winter Nursery Refresh.
It’s the little things
This super cute pom pom garland is from Trader Joe’s. I saw someone else post about it and rushed to my local TJ’s to make sure there was still some left. I’m pretty sure Trader Joe’s has never disappointed anyone anywhere…
I really just added a few little things to his room, for several reasons. 1. I don’t have a ton of Christmas stuff that I could put in there. I like to keep it somewhat minimal overall. 2. I prefer a few Christmas touches, as opposed to Christmas overload.
That makes it easier to decorate and easier to clean it up. Sounds like a win-win for me.
I think it would be so fun to give Miles his own mini Christmas tree with his own little ornaments. Maybe next year. 🙂
Does anyone else’s kid have soo many books that they never fit on the shelf?? We have these great IKEA book shelves, but we need like 3 more to fit all of our books. I’ll work on it 😉
New Focal Wall
This focal wall was 100% an experiment gone slightly wrong. I cut a plus sign from a kitchen sponge to use as a stamp for this wall, but when I put it on the wall it looked awful. I’m pretty sure only half of the shape transferred from the sponge to the wall.
With some improv and a little finger-painting, I came to this and I’m actually really happy with it. I love that each plus sign is unique (and maybe the slightest bit rustic).
And that’s that. Thanks for reading, friends! Pin below for later 🙂
