Here’s a quick, easy and budget-friendly idea for an empty wall that maybe is in need of some character and a little love.

I personally love the look of mismatched plates on the wall. I’m currently trying to figure out where I can do this in my own house 😉 Unfortunately, I have too many ideas for the amount of wall space that’s actually in my house… Anyway.

In order to make this happen, we just gathered 10 different shaped, sized, colored plates (around the house, the local thrift store, HomeGoods, etc). The most we paid for a single plate was probably $4.

While the traditional “rule” is to do things in odd numbers, but honestly just play around with them and create a layout you like. Throw the rules out the window.

Hanging the Plates

To hang the plates on the wall, we just used Gorilla Glue, as well as a “D-ring” for the back of each plate. Not the prettiest thing you’ve ever seen, but super simple and 9 months later, they’re still on the wall, YAY. I’d say that’s a win.

Just a few small nails in the wall and there you have it.
