LEARN HOW TO MAKE THIS BOTANICAL HANGING PRINT IN JUST A MATTER OF MINUTES. IT’S EASY, SO CHEAP AND IS SUPER CUTE TOO!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Click the links below to see what I used.

  • Saw (I used a miter box)
  • 1 x 2 board (from your local hardware store)
  • Instant Wall Art book
  • Twine
  • Staple gun and staples
  • Paint or stain (optional)

CUT YOUR WOOD

First, I measured my art. Since the botanical print was just under 8″ wide, I went ahead and cut my 1 x 2 board in 8.5″ pieces. I wanted the wood to stick out just a little further than the print.

ATTACH THE PRINT

Once I cut all of the pieces, I took the print and staple gun and stapled the art onto the back of the board.

As you can see below, I stapled it at the very top edge of the wood.

SECURE THE TWINE

Twine was the ribbon of choice for this project. There’s just something about twine. I can never have enough of it.

I measured the twine to the length that I wanted, tied a knot on both ends, and stapled each side to the wood, just above the knot.

FINISHING THE WOOD (OPTIONAL)

While this part is optional, I would do this before attaching the print. I left mine raw for the time being, but knowing me, I’ll have it painted white soon.

If you choose paint, maybe pick a chalk paint (or flat paint) that coordinates with the botanical print.

When you choose a stain, just pick your favorite wood tone.

Assuming you have the correct tools on hand, you can make at least 3 of these botanical hanging prints for under $20 (and have a whole bunch of botanical prints left to use for other projects.

ANOTHER IDEA FOR THE BOTANICAL PRINT BOOK

This book is a perfect thing to have around the house. It has so many options and for such a great price.

Another idea is to frame them in a grouping (I personally like 6 frames, two rows of 3).
