When I was first pregnant with my first, I remember spending so much time searching for my registry. I had no idea what I would use or what I wouldn’t. My hope is that this list of Amazon Newborn Baby Must Haves will be a compilation to save you time, money and energy.

The amount of things to get ready before a baby is amazing. Especially when you’re clueless as to what you might need. Obviously there are the basics, like diapers and wipes. But then there are things you might not think of.

Here is a list of the most basics (and affordable) Amazon purchases that I used a TON with my baby.

This post may contain affiliate links, which means I make a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Set of 3 Organic Cotton Pants are so cute and soft. They’re perfect with a white onesie and white socks.

Set of 5 Organic Long-Sleeve Bodysuits – We used these so much. There’s just something about keeping the basics nice and neutral. It allows for way more pairing options. Also, baby mittens are a nightmare, in my personal opinion, of course. These have sleeves that fold over and cover the baby’s hands, so they stay warm and they can’t scratch their face. Win win, if you ask me.

Set of 5 Organic Short-Sleeve Bodysuits These are great too for the warmer months. I always put a jacket on with short sleeves, because I’m afraid of baby being cold maybe? Hard to know.

Newborn Crib Shoes – These little booties were life savers. The only mistake I made last time was buying only one pair that was patterned. I would recommend several neutral pairs instead.

It’s quite possible that I hate baby socks almost as much as the baby mittens lol. They just don’t stay on and they get lost, etc. What I did (it worked really well) was I put baby socks on my baby and then layered them with these booties. Everything stayed put and it was a beautiful thing.

Newborn Baby Beanie Knot hats – These hats were a lifesaver, since we had a fall baby. They’re neutral so they go with almost everything.

Burt’s Bees Baby Baby Pajamas – These were great. They’re really soft, organic cotton, and they also have the little folds for the little baby hands.

Swaddle Blankets or These– We used these so often (and still do, actually). I used them as baby blankets, nursing covers, carseat covers, you name it. By tying a knot in the blanket long ways it creates a nursing cover. I saw someone else do it once and was sold. So smart.

Sound Machine This sound machine is amazing. And it’s only $20. We actually use this for ourselves now, and put this one in the baby’s room. But we love this one so much!

Water Wipes I can’t even believe how many things we used wipes for with a newborn. We went through them so fast. Not to mention their poop is liquid, soooo need I say more? Also, no chemicals, which is so important!

Badger Nursing Balm – This stuff helped so much with soreness. Use it liberally after every nursing session. I had great results.

Organic Cotton Reusable Breast Pads – If you haven’t had a baby before, you might be wondering why you would need these. However, if you’re anything like me, you will need these. Just trust me on that 😉

Nursing Cups – These were amazing. I wish I would’ve stuck with it longer, because just using one cup while nursing on the other side, I collected 40 oz in my freezer without even pumping.

Ingenuity Bouncing Seat – We tried not to collect a ton of baby gear, but we did use this quite a bit. It adjusts, so if baby falls asleep it can move to a horizontal position very easily.

Ingenuity Bouncer – This is one of the few things I wish I would’ve had. I’ve heard really great things.

Velcro Swaddles – These are a lifesaver. We used these for several months, until he could roll over. They help the baby the feel secure and snug. The only thing I don’t like about these is that the velcro will wear out eventually. But they’re pretty affordable, so I think that’s worth it.

Diapers

Our favorite diapers are Cloud Island from Target. They’re very affordable and have clean ingredients. They also have the line to show when they’re wet, which is nice.

If cloth diapering is your thing (or you want to learn more), I have a post of everything you need to know here.

Well there you have it, folks! My Amazon Newborn Baby Must Haves.

I was trying to post this with original audio of m I was trying to post this with original audio of me explaining each item and my thoughts on the price etc etc but apparently I don’t have that capability yet on IG… so, enjoy this reel and just know that I had a lot more to say. 😂

I feel like my house is just constantly a mess, no matter how hard I try. Anyone else? It feels like I’m always behind, and to be honest, it bothers me a lot. It overwhelms me and stresses me out. It keeps me from being content and present. Between things constantly being broken (hello middle child) and just too much stuff in general.
Here’s what I’m working on to simplify and calm the chaos.
1. I’ve been removing all toys that don’t get played with often. We currently have magnatiles, Duplos, and race cars out. The rest have been moved to storage in the basement for the moment. We’ll see what we keep as my kids do sometimes notice toys they’re missing and ask for them.
2. I’ve been ruthlessly getting rid of stuff - whether donate or trash. If we don’t absolutely love it, or we have multiples, or no one touches it, or we have a huge pile of random papers and crafts. Gone. 😂 it’s so relieving.
3. I often have artwork and decor laying around because I don’t fully know where it’s going yet. I’ve been removing anything that doesn’t serve a purpose and have been putting it in basement storage. No point having it sit there and clutter. I’ll go get it when I’m ready to hang the picture or use the decor.
4. I’ve been re-assessing where we need more storage. I replaced a dresser that didn’t functional well with a $50 homeschool cabinet from FB marketplace and it’s been so much better.
5. As I remove things from our every day view, I’m noticing the ability to better enjoy the everyday messes and real life, because it isn’t so out of control and overwhelming.

I hope this is encouraging for mamas in the same boat ✨

We spent a lot of time in our front yard, but never really on our porch. I bought this porch paint months ago and finally got it done! Now our porch is a cozy place to sit ✨ Inspired by @mustardseedbeginnings super cute porch.
These frames have been sitting empty for a while n These frames have been sitting empty for a while now… I went to order some prints for them the other day, and I didn’t like the price. SO I decided I was going to make my own art for them. I found a fabric remnant at a local thrift store for $0.99 cents and voila. Took all of 5 mins ✨
