WELCOME
When we first bought our house, we were actually really impressed with a lot of the updates that the previous owners did. It really set the ground work for a lot of the projects we’ve done since and has saved us a ton of money. Of course I’ll always want to do projects on my house, no matter what it looks like. So with that said, this tour will always be changing I’m sure. But we’ve put in a lot of work and here’s where we are now. Enjoy.
ENTRYWAY
Our home is a split level, so when you open the front door, you can either go up or down. It doesn’t leave a whole lot of room for organization (or for people lingering in that area lol). This IKEA shoe cabinet is perfect for our space. It’s thin and only has front legs. It’s mounted to the wall so it doesn’t take up much room. It fits a lot of shoes, too. YAY.
LIVING ROOM
This room has come a long way since we moved in. It was basically just a blank canvas. We’ve since added the “fireplace”, which gives it a focal point and makes it feel like it has a purpose. This space where we spend the majority of our time, so it’s important to me that it’s functional and cute (surprise surprise). 😉
KITCHEN
Our kitchen has changed so much since we moved in. It’s not really a place we hang out much, simply because it’s small and there just isn’t much room to linger. We do however use our kitchen a lot. What you don’t see in the picture is the high chair that usually lingers with a cute, always hungry baby in it. 🙂
